On 2000, Thalis Nefeloudis food additives opened the first Research and Development Laboratory in Greece dedicated to food industry. The department’s purpose and aim is to provide to its customer’s innovative tailor-made products, high in nutritional value, structure and appearance.

The Department is directly linked to customers, listening and paying attention to their needs and then materializes them, always in line with the European food code. This means that the company creates the new product or improves the existing ones following the customers’ suggestion, always keeping the confidential information and securing each recipe.

The Research & Development Department has been collaborating for years with academic institutions in Greece (Universities and Technological Educational Institutes) and has been constantly improving its scientific field and human resources. Its group consists of qualified food scientists (agronomists-food technologists, chemists, food technologists) and stands out for its scientific knowledge and know-how.

The Research & Development Department provides all professionals (new or old ones) with the chance to face any technical challenge that concerns the following food industry fields:

The Research and Development Sector is divided in three Departments

Research Department
It seeks out the needs of the market in cooperation with the Sales Department. It conducts research and designs the new products to be created or improves the existing ones.

Products Development Department
It improves the organoleptic properties of the products (texture, taste, odor). It improves the production processes.
It conducts research and experiments, it creates stressing the importance of the functionality of each ingredient, combining them and creating the required product.

Customer Service Department
The thoroughly trained staff of NEFELOUDIS Food Additives is always at the customer’s side offering high quality customer services.
